Emily Barz, M.Sc. psychologist and integrative couples therapist

Emily Barz

M.Sc. Psychologist & Integrative Couples Therapist
Psychotherapist in training

About me

My name is Emily Barz. I am a psychologist (M.Sc.) and am currently training to become a licensed psychological psychotherapist with a focus on behavioural therapy. At Praxis Hiepko I support the team as part of my clinical internship. I also work as a couples therapist.

I experience relationships – with ourselves and with others – as one of the most valuable resources in life: they give us stability and security and let us grow. It matters to me to create a safe, unbiased and appreciative space at eye level. I listen closely and support you in expressing what has so far been hard to put into words.

I understand my therapeutic role as one of companionship: you are the expert on your own life, and I accompany you through the process. Real change arises from the interplay of methodical guidance and the courage to take responsibility for yourself.

Professional background

I have gained practical experience over several years in various clinical-psychological settings, both outpatient and inpatient.

Alongside my internship at Praxis Hiepko, I work as a psychologist at the psychosomatic day clinic in Hennigsdorf.

Specialisation

Alongside this, my passion lies in couples therapy. In my work I combine approaches from schema therapy and emotion-focused therapy to help couples reconnect in conversation and in genuine connection.

Henry Hiepko, M.Sc. – Psychological Psychotherapist

Henry Hiepko

M.Sc. Psychology
Psychological Psychotherapist & Systemic Coach

My approach

As a licensed psychological psychotherapist with a focus on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and as a trained systemic coach with additional qualifications in mindfulness-based methods, you receive empathetic support in overcoming challenges, gaining clarity and shaping long-term change.

This service is available to you regardless of your age, whenever you want to actively shape your life – for example when facing important decisions, finding your own path, or wanting more satisfaction and ease in everyday life.

If you live location-independently, work remotely or lead a flexible lifestyle while seeking psychological stability and personal clarity, you will find fitting support here.

Typical topics

In psychotherapy and coaching you receive support with: career orientation, career & work-life balance, decision-making situations & processes of change, relationships, family & social dynamics, burnout, depression, stress, exhaustion & inner restlessness, anxiety and panic, as well as personal development, meaning & joy in life.

In couples therapy you receive support with: negative habits, a difficult conflict culture, lack of appreciation and closeness, sexual dissatisfaction, as well as an impending separation.

Success means that you move noticeably closer to your personal goals – whether through greater inner stability, more successful relationships, or a more conscious, values-oriented life.

As a licensed psychological psychotherapist with a focus on cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and as a trained systemic coach with additional qualifications in mindfulness-based methods, you receive access to a wide range of psychological approaches.

In acute-care hospitals, rehabilitation centres and outpatient settings, people in the most varied life phases have been supported – especially with topics such as depression, anxiety, stress management, self-worth and interpersonal conflicts. This experience flows into the work with you.

In sessions you receive evidence-based methods such as cognitive behavioural therapy, solution-focused approaches, methods of systemic coaching and mindfulness – always tailored individually to your situation.

You receive an open, appreciative atmosphere in which challenges are understood together, patterns are recognised, and concrete, everyday-practical changes are developed. Therapy and coaching are always close to everyday life, transparent and actionable.

Alongside behavioural therapy, mindfulness-based approaches and further current methods of behavioural therapy such as ACT and schema therapy, you gain access to systemic and solution-focused coaching, integrated into treatment.

If you work flexibly from different locations and prefer online therapy, you receive therapeutic support that follows you wherever you are – without having to give up your flexibility.

Melina Marquardt, M.Sc. Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy

Melina Marquardt

M.Sc. Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy
Psychologist training to become a licensed psychological psychotherapist

About me

My name is Melina Marquardt. I am a psychologist (M.Sc. Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy) and support Henry Hiepko as part of my clinical internship. I am also your point of contact for all questions relating to the cost-reimbursement procedure.

My approach is to communicate psychological knowledge in a way that truly lands: clear, honest and without jargon. I believe that real change begins where people learn to understand themselves.

Professional background

For four years I have worked in a therapeutic residential group for adolescents and young adults with mental illness, with a focus on crisis intervention and skills training. Depression and borderline personality disorder are the most common conditions there.

I have also gained practical experience in forensic psychiatry, addiction and trauma therapy, as well as geriatric psychiatry.

Since February 2026 I have been training to become a licensed psychological psychotherapist.

Specialisation

My particular interest lies in affective disorders, especially depression, as well as personality disorders, in particular borderline personality disorder. In my experience, a great deal of suffering and misunderstanding often lies behind these conditions.

Alexandra Mindelson

Psychotherapist in training
Initial consultations & ADHD assessment

About me

My name is Alexandra Mindelson. I am a psychotherapist in training and work at Praxis Hiepko as part of my internship. There I conduct initial consultations and also work in the field of ADHD assessment.

My approach is to perceive people with their individual realities and needs, and to find out together what they need to lead a life that feels right for them. In doing so, I try to foster acceptance and work with my clients to identify their needs and personal boundaries. My goal is to support people in developing a way of relating to themselves that allows them to take their own needs seriously and shape a life that truly fits them.

Professional background

I am particularly experienced in supporting people with substance use disorders through my work on the addiction ward at St. Joseph Hospital Weißensee.

I currently also work at MVZ Lio in Lichterfelde, supporting people with a range of conditions.

Specialisation

Working with neurodivergent people is especially close to my heart.
