ADHD Assessment

Many adults wonder whether ADHD could be behind inner restlessness, difficulty concentrating, procrastination, emotional overwhelm or recurring everyday struggles. You receive a thorough assessment that helps bring more clarity to these patterns.

More than just inattention

In some cases these patterns have existed since childhood and have long been masked by great effort, adaptation or compensation strategies. As part of the assessment you receive a differentiated evaluation: is ADHD actually present? Do other factors such as stress, depression, anxiety or trauma play a role? Or do several factors interact?

The goal is a clear diagnostic assessment of whether neurodivergence (ADHD) is present, and a better understanding of your behavioural patterns. Many people already experience a noticeable relief simply through this clarification – recurring difficulties in certain situations appear less like personal failure and become instead more understandable, treatable and manageable.

An assessment may be useful for

  • Concentration difficulties and being easily distracted
  • Inner restlessness, feeling driven, or difficulty switching off
  • Procrastination, organisational problems and time-management difficulties
  • Emotional impulsivity or strong mood swings
  • Recurring overwhelm at work, in studies or in everyday life
  • The feeling of not living up to your potential despite great effort
  • Feedback from a partner, family, therapist or doctor
  • The wish for diagnostic clarity before further treatment
Assessment process

What you receive as part of the ADHD assessment

Diagnostic interview & questionnaires

You receive a thorough diagnostic interview as well as standardised questionnaires and clinical assessment tools.

Developmental history & differential diagnosis

You receive a careful review of your developmental history since childhood and adolescence, as well as clarification of possible differential diagnoses and co-occurring burdens.

Feedback & next steps

You receive clear feedback with a diagnostic assessment as well as concrete recommendations for possible next steps.

Within the assessment process, it is helpful to include old school reports, previous findings or additional information from your environment. This is discussed with you individually.

Orientation for next steps

An ADHD assessment can provide orientation and form the basis for suitable further steps. These may include psychoeducational counselling, ADHD group psychotherapy, coaching, adjustments to everyday life, or a specialist medical evaluation of possible medication options.
